Jack Furlong

Born in Boston, USA, Jack Furlong Jr. spent the majority of his career with the famed Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo.  During his career he had the pleasure of touring internationally and performing at some of the most prestigious dance theatres and venues in the world; including, Sadler’s Wells, The Kennedy Center, The State Hermitage Museum, Tokyo Bunka Center, Maison de la Danse, The Joyce Theatre, and countless opera houses and theatres worldwide.  In 2021, he was featured in the PBS: American Masters, documentary, “Ballerina Boys.”

Furlong was trained in the Vaganova method at the Valentina Kozlova’s Dance Conservatory of New York, by famed international Principal, Valentina Kozlova, formerly of the Bolshoi and NYCB.  Throughout his school years and into his career, he was personally coached by Kozlova as well as  Olga and Vitaly Verterich (Beryozka, Riverdance), and the great master, the ‘Ambassador of Dance’ for the UK, the late Jelko Yuresha.

Additionally, he has performed with companies such as The Gelsey Kirkland Ballet, The Merce Cunningham Trust and performed contemporary and modern works by Merce Cunningham, Mark Morris, Margo Sappington, Nina Buisson, to name a few.

Previously Furlong was the coordinator for VKIBC, producing several years of ballet competitions internationally. He is the co-owner of the company, Emma Rose Floristry and teaches ballet throughout the Dublin area. He holds a bachelor of the arts from the University of Washington and a certification in management from Harvard Business School.
